I flew mine with a West 50, this engine puts the MagnumR to 200 mph, the Deamon is smaller and likely even faster.
Not for the faint of heart :-)

Just flew my SD for the first time after I installed a 50 Weston. Real screamer and super fast, I wound up loosing a rudder ad just spiraled down like a leaf. Rudder landed about a minute later....

The Vortex is a fun build, manual and plans are nicely done, parts fit perfectly. I am looking forward to get this in the air.

What I'd like to have is a larger SD....

I wonder why we don't see more of these planes. Simple design, lot of speed and fun.

Right now I am building a BTE Vortex and will put an OS 91 FX with a Macs pipe on it. This won't be crazy...
