diamond dust
do you still have the diamond dust?
People will be wary of giving price estimates, as I am. Some of the motors, and kits, are still available, or similar, like the OS LA .40 is now a .46, Norvels are still priced. You can see how much they are going for at a hobby shop, and drop the price a bit, as there is no warranty (no tax either). Used stuff, you can divide the price in half. I can see why no one wants to give a price. I know from hot rods, that there are prices that it costs to build from a kit, at full retail, plus all parts from retailers. Then paint at shop prices, labour at $100 an hour... It can get high at 2,000 hours. Appraisers go by used prices of parts, and don't count labour. Then there is a price that it actually cost from wreckers. You can go by the price at a well advertised large auction, and then what you could get at a local paper, or auction or website like Craigslist in say a week. The numbers can be anywhere from $5,000 to $150,000+ for the same car. I would check ebay for similar stuff though, as the prices can go quite high there compared to other sources. I have got many motors listed for less than $20, some for $5, but often see them at swap meets at $80 at the end of the swap meet unsold. The Saitos, and Jetts of course are not in that range.
