Hi,
So what might the pros be with such a triplane like the SeuS? And what might be the obvious cons?
Under what conditions may a triplane give an advantage in F3A (at least in theory)?
Has triplanes been tried before in F3A with success? I know only one triplane in modern time that has been flown in F3A competitions, Gerhard Mayers "Trigantic".

Briefly, IMHO:
Pros: reduced wing span for improved snaps; more knife edge authority - the fuselage area does not look especially deep in the front compared to the tail of the aircraft.
Cons: alignment, alignment, alignment - are all 3 wing parallel or are there slight variations in incidence and, if so, how do you know which wing to set where?????

"ZeuS triplane F3A WC2019 version ready!
Equiped with new Hacker C54 and 5100-9S lipo: lightest F3A motor set available today.
Power Box Mks HV69 servos and JR 28X radio."
From Sebastiano Facebook page. He is flying with 9s batteries. It will bw very intresting see how it performs with a 9s setup.

I'm guessing the 9s pack was chosen to help get under the 5kg weight limit due to added weight of the 3rd wing?
IIRC, the CK Aero Allure Biplane is/was available in white base only (not yellow) due to weight concerns ... apparently it's not easy building a 2m biplane to make weight...a triplane is quite an accomplishment in that regard

I might be missing something here but I think it's more about his connection to Hacker since the Adverun Single is 200 grams lighter [according to F3A Unlimited and Hacker USA site info]. That's surely enough to allow 10s packs so weight is probably not the determining factor. Still, an interesting approach from someone as accomplished as Seb and if it expands the envelope, all the better.

Hacker C54 is lighter than Adverrun single drive. It may be only few grams but still. Advertized weights are Hacker 445 g and Adverrun 470 g.
